Grandpa Ferguson Checks in from Austria
Grandpa Ferguson (Jerry's Dad) has been traveling through Europe for the last little few weeks, and finally made it to Jerry's old mission area - AUSTRIA!
Jerry's been super jealous. But he's helped Grandpa to plan out an awesome trip in Austria, including the 'Sound of Music Tour' around Salzburg, and a visit to Jerry's favorite town in the whole world - Hallstatt, Austria.
The picture above is a panorama that Grandpa took of the tiny village of Hallstatt, which is situated in the mountains about an hour from Salzburg. Click on the photo above to see the panorama large. It's like something from a postcard. You can see a boat approaching the village. The boat is interesting because it is the only way for visitors and tourists to access the village during the summer time.
Hallstatt was built on the side of a mountain at the edge of a lake, and so real estate is very limited. In fact, the town graveyard ran out of space hundreds of years ago, so they started burying their dead stacked vertically on end, in small, deep, vertical plots. When they ran out of room completely, they resorted to simply taking the deceased's skulls and thigh bones, decorating them, and putting them in a small room adjacent to the graveyard.

Muse Concert = Awesome
We went to a Muse concert in Anaheim on a recent vacation. We got floor tickets and ended up on the front row. Muse always puts on a great show. This is the finale of the concert as recorded on Jerry's phone -

Phoebe and Vienna
Phoebe and Vienna just playing around the house. Vienna just finished potty training, so daddy took her to get a 'princess' dress, which is what she really wanted. Now she won't get out of it.

Gila Valley Temple
If you get a chance, you MUST visit the Gila Valley Temple open house. The chandelier in the Celestial Room is absolutely incredible. And the painting of Ash Creek in the Chapel is one of the neatest I've seen in a Temple. And the commissioned painting covering the walls of the ordinance room is also incredible.
